Adobe is going to scrap their hard copies (disks) for their software (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Flash), and have you pay a subscription for the latest software called the Adobe Creative Cloud. $50 per month. Could you really afford such an expense in the long run?

This is really disturbing. Please hear what he has to say, it really is a serious situation for working artists. Pass this along so others may know about the Adobe Creative Cloud and how horrible it is.

Yep… Just went to see how much Flash costs. You know, to just buy the program? Guess what? After spending a while looking, it appears that you CAN’T anymore. You have to pay an outrageous subscription fee. I hate adobe. Is there a petition going around to stop this nonsense? Because I want to sign it.

Today I just signed the petition in the voice against the Adobe Creative Cloud. For those who are not familiar with what the new Creative Cloud can do to you as an artist, I really suggest you watch this video.

Another Fun Fact: Cheetahs are incredibly nervous animals. One of the (many) reason’s they’re going extinct is that cheetahs are so sensitive and nervous, some of them are literally too nervous to breed. Other’s will breed, but stress themselves out so much that they’ll loose their cubs.

So zoo’s with breeding program’s had to figure out how to make Cheetahs comfortable enough to:
A. Get laid and
B. Not spazz themselves into miscarrying.

So what’d they do?
They gave the cheetahs their very own Service Dogs!

The dogs make them feel safe, protected and secure!

YES, minority groups obviously undergo more prejudicial and hateful words thoughts and actions than majority groups, and YES, the effects of these words, thoughts, and actions are often more harmful to the minority than when said/thought/done against the majority.
HOWEVER the principle of the matter is still the same. If you preach equality and acceptance for your minority, and then turn right around and hate on the majority YOU ARE BEING A HYPOCRITE. If you think that prejudice and intolerance is wrong, then it is wrong for EVERYBODY, not just one specific minority group.
“Oh, white people are all the same. You think that’s racist? GOD YOU’RE OVERREACTING.”
That is prejudice, demeaning, and goes against the very tenants of acceptance. You CAN NOT preach equality for some. Well, you CAN, but that phrase in and of itself is oxymoronic. At the end of the day, no matter whether we are in the minority or the majority, equality is what we strive for. Don’t get lost on a hateful path on the way there.

Because, uh, no it wasn’t. Writing a dictionary (at least one of the ones that’s commonly used an pointed at) involves a lot of time and effort on the part of many lexicographers (who are very unlikely all white or all men), people who have studied linguistics and the language they are writing a dictionary for for years. They go out into the field, talk to people, find out what words are currently in use in the language, what people believe those words to mean, and assemble them together into a book based on those results. They aren’t writing down their opinions or trying to “oppress” you. They are recording language at it is used.

(This is how we end up with words like “tweet” “bromance” and “helicopter parents” in the dictionary.)

A dictionary is not created by the white men to oppress you. It’s a study in human language, and ought to be respected. Stop making excuses because you don’t like what words mean.
