Here’s how it is: If you and I are in a discussion, I will be remaining relatively calm, I will keep personal attacks away, but I will not consider what you are saying unless you provide some good information. Barring that, I expect the respect I give. You don’t have to like me or agree with me, but if you act like I child with me, your opinion becomes less valid.

wait a minute- whats wrong with being “butthurt” about something in the tumblr social justice scene?

just cause im not in X Y Z minority does not mean that you get to be a dick to me. if me getting annoyed with your dickery counts as being “butthurt” well fine! but your doing the decent human thing all wrong.

go back to the thought of - how would you react if someone were treating/talking to you the way that you just responded to that person? if the answer is, “well, i dont think i would be too happy about it” then perhaps you can understand the problem here.

a good hearted ribbing on either side is fine but flatout and continuously saying shit and being a dick to other people, regardless of their social status, who is not being a dick to you, makes YOU the dick. not because of your social status, but because of how you decided to act like a dick.

tl;dr ?

dont be a dick! is it that hard?
